He praised a Fresno jury for convicting Ricardo Montes and Luke Scarmazzo on Thursday on federal drug trafficking charges, one of which carries a minimum sentence of 20 years. So, they were in compliance with state laws, and received no notice from the city of Modesto or from the state of California, but they were brought upon charges anyway? Does anyone else smell a rat?
"These were drug dealers selling marijuana. This case is that simple," Scott said.
The attorney took aim at Montes' and Scarmazzo's defense during their trial, in which their lawyers argued that their business was "aboveboard" and in compliance with state law.
Scott argued that Montes' and Scarmazzo's California Healthcare Collective flouted state law, too, because it turned a $9 million profit from 2004 to 2006. State law requires that medical marijuana dispensaries operate as nonprofit establishments.

The Federal law, which
The Federal law, which conspicuously excludes tobacco and alcohol, is a damned lie in addition to a usurpation of tenth-amendment / unalienable rights. Read the Schedule I criteria and explain how any rational human can state there is a "lack of accepted use [of Cannabis] in medical treatment in the United States"? Or that it has a lack of "accepted safety" when Ben-Gay and water claim more overdose lives?
The feds are lying bastards, perpetrating atrocities with their abortions of "justice" wherein the oath to reveal the "whole truth" is a sick joke. It is that simple.

This is a bittersweet ending.
This is a bittersweet ending. I think it's terible to take advantage of the really sick people who can't afford $45 for 3.5 grams. Or more like $60, that's $480 an ounce. Who on disability can afford that!!! Hell, it's still the same price as it was when it was illegal. What needs to be done is TOTAL LEGALIZATI0N OF MARIJUANA, that would collapse the Black Market Drug Dealers and give it to the people, so help me on this, is this a bad thing? Not for my world. Let licensed growers buy and sell all different strains in cannabis stores (instead of Liquor) with regulation for quality control and pricing, WITH Insurance companies paying for Medical Marijuana for MMJ Patients with Medicaid & Medicare for the poor and those on disability. Hell most elderly people are addicted to opiates, sleeping pills, etc., by there doctors now, how healthy is that? Cannabis has been scientifically proven, oh hell...simply put, "Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the most theraputically active substances known. It would be unreasonable, arbitrary and capricious for the DEA to stand between those sufferer's and the substance." Francis L. Young, DEA Chief Administrative Law Judge, 1988. Even back then the DEA Head reccommended marijuana reclassification and relegalization. THE DEA,people!!! So why is the DEA so evil now? Because of who we voted into Congress and the Presidency. Many states are just waiting for Federal freedom to legalize at least Medical Marijuana. For the government to deny me the one safe, effective and extremely theraputic drug to control Chronic Nausea and Vomiting from Diabetic Neuropathic Gastro Paresis is sadistically inhumane. End of story. Slow starvation with chronic nausea and vomiting with the inability to absorb enough nutrients to sustain life is the outcome of this disease. The most commonly prescribed anti nausea med is Regalen/Metroclopramide and continued use of it causes irreversibile Parkinson like shakes and tremors, yet it is legally prescribed. We need to KILL ALL POLITICIANS AGAINST MARIJUANA...in the next election. Bye now....
